Onward to All Saints Camp

On our own ground

On over 600 acres of waterfront land at beautiful Lake Texoma, the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas has a unique opportunity to develop a camp with an outdoor chapel, activity center, campers' cabins, an aquatic program, sports fields and outdoor challenge courses, nature walks, and a unique environmental education center.

In this rare, tranquil setting of gently rolling hills, summer camping programs for children and young people in this diocese will nurture Christian fellowship, deepen faith, and build strong, healthy values, as they develop youth leaders and form future leaders for the Church.

On sure footing

Just over an hour north of Dallas, All Saints Episcopal Camp's five miles of waterfront includes three large coves surrounded by All Saints property. A stone conference center/dining hall and a lakeside pavilion are centrally located. Some updated sleeping cabins already exist, with more in the works. Phase I construction, planned for 2006, includes new facilities that include campers' cabins that will provide for a fully operational Episcopal summer camp, as well as vestry and wardens' retreats, renewal weekends, parish gatherings, confirmation retreats, and clergy retreats.

To educate students in the appropriate stewardship of God's creation, a Residential Environmental Program will be offered to school children during the off-season that will generate income for the camp and

  • Offer environmental study, enriching curricula in science, math and English;
  • Introduce school children to studies of water conservation, marshland biology, birds of prey, Texas native plants, shoreline erosion, and native zoological and biological habitats;
  • Provide environmental study opportunities unlike any other program in North Texas;
  • Fulfill the diocese's mission of outreach.

    On our way

    The camp's board of trustees has set a goal of $5.5 million for renovation of the camp's existing facilities, updating of infrastructure, and new construction. This sum will allow construction to begin in 2005 so that camping programs for children and youth from every congregation in the Diocese of Dallas can be held in the summer of 2006.

    You can help in a variety of ways. Please pray for this fundraising effort's success. If you can, please contribute to the camp fund. Please encourage your congregation to make a special gift toward the camp.

    "Some of my fondest childhood memories were at Camp Allen,
    the Episcopal church camp. Team sports, handicrafts, swimming
    and attending services at the cross on the bluff overlooking
    the water built friendships and values that still remain."
    ~ Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison
